With your browser's built-in translator, translation runs on your device. Only if the site owner has configured a self-hosted LibreTranslate server and your browser has no built-in translator is text sent to that server — the tool shows which engine is used before you start.

PDF. Files are checked by their actual content, not just the extension, so renamed or damaged files are caught early.
Is there a file size limit?
Each file can be up to 200.0 MB, and you can process up to 20 files at once. Because processing uses your device's memory, very large files work best on a computer.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes. It works in modern mobile browsers on Android and iPhone. Heavier jobs (large PDFs, OCR) are faster on a computer.
