Resize photos and signatures for government and exam forms

Online application forms usually specify three things for your photo and signature: dimensions in pixels (or centimetres), a file size range in KB, and a format — almost always JPG. Get any one wrong and the upload is rejected.

Step by step
- Take the photo against a plain, light wall in daylight, face centred, no shadows.

- For the signature, sign in black or blue ink on white paper, photograph it straight on, and use Signature Resizer. It whitens the paper and darkens the ink before resizing.

Why the file is sometimes “too small”
